Extension of due dates of various forms under Income Tax Act based on press release dated 29/08/2021. All updates made easy!! All about press release dated 29/08/2021.


Hello everyone!! Welcome back to our blog.

The Central Board of  Direct Taxes on August 29, extended the due dates for electronic filing of various forms under income tax act, 1961, after taxpayers and other stakeholders raised complaints about facing difficulties in electronic filing.

However the extension is only with respect to Various forms filing not for Income Tax return filing . Due date for filing Income Tax return filing as of now is still 30/09/2021 . 


Here is the simplified way which everybody can get along with all the extensions released yesterday

01. Due dates extended to 30/11/2021

  • Quarterly statement in form 15CC (statement to be filed by every authorized dealer making payment to non resident or foreign company ) for quarter ended on June 30 2021.
  • Intimation by sovereign wealth fund in Form II SWF for quarter ended on June 30 2021.
  • Uploading declarations in Form  15G/15H( Self declaration forms that an individual submits to the bank requesting not to deduct TDS on interest income as their income is below the basic exemption limit(2,50,000/-)  for quarter ending on June 30 2021.
    02. Due dates extended to 31/12/2021
    • Uploading declarations in Form  15G/15H( Self declaration forms that an individual submits to the bank requesting not to deduct TDS on interest income as their income is below the basic exemption limit)  for quarter ending on Sep 30 2021.
    • Intimation by sovereign wealth fund in Form II SWF for quarter ending on Sep 30 2021.
    • Intimation by Pension fund in Form 10BBB for  for quarter ending on Sep 30 2021.
    • Intimation by a constituent entity, resident of India, of an international group, the parent entity of which is not resident in India in Form 3CEAC.
    • Report by a parent entity or an alternate reporting entity or any other constituent entity , resident in India, in Form 3CEAD.
      • Equalization levy statement in Form 1 for FY 2020-21
      • Quarterly statement in form 15CC (statement to be filed by every authorized dealer making payment to non resident or foreign company ) for quarter ending  on Sep 30 2021.
      • Intimation on behalf of any international group in Form 3CEAE

      03. Due dates extended to 31/03/2022
      • Application for registration of approval u/s 10(23C), 12 A, 35(1)(ii)/(iia)/iii or u/s 80G in Form 10A.
      • Application for registration of approval u/s 10(23C), 12 A, u/s 80G in Form 10AB.
      04. What about Income Tax return filing

      • Due date for ITR Filing as of now is 30/09/2021. Lets hope IT site works after 15/09/2021 , and ITR filing due date will not extend beyond 30/09/2021
